Infraspinatus Test

Infraspinatus Test – Physical Examination Video

The video begins with a black screen and the words Chronic Pain Management Guide: Physical Examination. Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration logo are displayed on the top. White text displays the title of the video: Infraspinatus Test. Tests for damage to infraspinatus/tendon or suprascapular nerve. Reproduction of spontaneous pain or inability to perform is a positive test. The black screen fades to show a patient and doctor standing in an examination room. The doctor is standing behind her so he can see the shoulder and arm while the patient lift her arm and moves back and forth. She lifts her arm up in the arm and the doctor lifts his hand to dorsal side of her hand and places pressure on the top of the shoulder. The screen fades to black and VA U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration logo appears.
