McMurray Test – Physical Examination

White text displays the title of the video: McMurray Test. Tests for meniscal tear. Reproduction of spontaneous pain or audible snap is a positive test. The screen fades to show a close up view of a patient laying on an examination table on her back. The doctor is standing next to the bed. The patient has one knee bent so that her feet lays flat on the bed while the other leg lays straight. The doctor places one hand on the knee and the other hand is placed on the back of the heel. The doctor holds the foot of the patient while he rotates the foot and slowly straightens the leg. Then the doctor puts the foot back on the top of the examination bed. He then holds the foot with one hand and pulls the foot so the leg is straight, while slightly rotating the hip.
