Upper Extremity Neural Tension Test

Upper Extremity Neural Tension Test

The video begins with a black screen and the words Chronic Pain Management Guide: Physical Examination. Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration logo are displayed on the top. White text displays the title of the video: Upper Extremity Neural Tension Test. Tests for cervical radiculopathy. Reproduction of spontaneous pain is a positive test. The scene fades to show a patient laying on their back on an examination bed with their hands resting on their abdomen. A doctor stands next to the bed. The doctor lifts his hand to the patient arm and bend the arm at the elbow. The doctor then raises the hand towards the patient’s head. The doctor places one hand under the shoulder blade and another hand is lifted to the patient’s hand. The doctor then pushes on the hand to make the arm straight and bends the arm again at the elbow. The screen fades to black and VA U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration logo appears.
